I am using a Windows PC and recently have come upon the part of the course where we start listening to sound files. The program says I need to install the QuickTime plugin, but after I download and install it, it still doesn’t work. Why isn’t it recognizing the plugin? I’ve installed it at least 10 times.
Frustrated in Madison
That is definitely frustrating! There are 2 main causes of this problem. First, it could be that you’re using an unsupported browser like Google Chrome. Unfortunately, our program is not currently compatible with Google Chrome so the sound files won’t work with it.
Second, if you are using one of the supported browsers (Firefox or Internet Explorer) it is usually that the browser isn’t activating the plugin. Our Technical Support team has put together some great troubleshooting instructions on their support website to help.
- Please visit: http://www.careerstep.com/techsupport/
- Select Audio or Sound from the dropdown menu and press Next.
- Select the browser you’re using to access the course. The tree will then take you through the instructions to fix the audio problem.
- If those instructions do not resolve your issue, please give our Technical Support team a call at 1-888-657-5761 for further troubleshooting assistance.
I hope this information helps.
