      Hi Sharry,
      The two programs are different.

The Medical Assistant program covers some administrative duties and also covers patient care including phlebotomy and EKG testing. It even includes a clinical externship. Graduates will be prepared to take the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam.

The Medical Administrative Assistant with EHR goes in-depth into administrative duties and covers electronic health record software (EHR). Graduates will be prepared to take the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) exam and the Certified Electronic Health Record Specialist (CEHRS) exam.

It can be confusing with the names so similar. Thanks for asking!
